🚨 Arrest in Leigh Town Centre 🚨

Today, an officer from the Leigh Town Centre Policing Team was approached by two members of the public who reported that they had just been threatened by a male with a bladed article.

Following a rapid search of the area, an officer located a male matching the description given. He was detained and found with several items believed to be stolen property.

Additional patrols arrived shortly after, and a further search of the male confirmed that he was carrying a bladed article.

A 54‑year‑old man has now been arrested for: 

🔹 Possession of a bladed article in a public place
🔹 Shoplifting
🔹 Two counts of making threats with a bladed article
